Default Mt. Baker, July 19, 2008

I was up at Mt. Baker yesterday. The road is open all the way to Artist Point, but there's no hiking (on trails anyway) from Artist Point. Maybe you could/should take your snow shoes? Anyway, as my wife is 6 months pregnant, we didn't do much hiking, just a short walk on the Fire and Ice trail (the snow-free portion) and the Picture Lake loop. When we arrived at Picture Lake, the surface of the lake was ruffled by a breeze, but within a few minutes, the lake stilled to glass, as you can see in the last picture below. There were also a fair number of wildflowers about.

Yeah. I'm using a Pentax *ist DL2 and it takes awsome macro photos. Best I've ever been able to get. This it my first SLR, so I'm still learning about it. My other favorite mode of photographs is the scenery ones.
