Now ... where to next??
Trillium, next time we head out to Yellow Aster Butte, I'd really like to head down to the tarns.
They sure look nice, possibly for a bag night??

Cheers!

That would make a fantastic bag night, and not too hard either!!!

I wonder if there are any rules about camping down there?

Thanks for the sunny day out, I definately want to return to the area.

Tracy I was surprised to see no tents yesterday, will have to find out more. Would be a great area to explore for sure.

On the way out we saw numerous individuals heading in for the night. My understanding is that a person can camp near the tarns.

Cheers!

It was nice to meet a few new faces: trailflower and TrailBunny. I enjoyed hiking with you, Ivy, and hope to do it again. Great shots, Henry, as usual, thank you and Ivy for sharing your pics.

Wow you all were rewarded with splendid weather for your Saturday hike, and blueberries too. I recall thisone from last year with great memories, thanks to Tracy leading it then.

I saw y'all up there on Saturday but didn't introduce myself (shy day I guess). Interesting coincidence.

Last year a friend and I tried this hike in the first few days of October and were totally shut out from views due to weather. Saw nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero.

So it was great to have the nice surprise of rising ABOVE the clouds to have the incredible views. And, of course, the blueberries were again amazing. The fall colors, though, will be better in a few weeks.

Here are my additions:

Hope next time you won't be shy, we don't bite!

Yes, it was wonderful to get above the clouds and enjoy the sunshine. The bushes are just starting to change color. Last year a group of us did the hike in October and the colors were amazing, almost looked like a persian carpet.

Cheers!
