A beautiful day yesterday for our trip into the valley just under Little Shovel Pass that has the cabin called Shangri-la nestled in the trees. We pick up the trail off Maligne lake road, up through the trees and along the creek.
Snowed late in the afternoon and into the night...to an accumulation of 7 cm. we were very hopeful we would be snowed in but no such luck!
Headed out in this morning to look for the campground and gain some turns.
Came out today in wonderfully warm temps -8 and continued snow. The creek has heaved up some so the crossing is different this year.
