This mountain was part of my acclimatization before summiting Chimborazo in Ecuador. I love Ecuador I've spent numerous months over there and I've summited numerous mountains. The women there are amazing... especially the columbians.

Took the bus from Quito to Riobamba, I want to mention that bus drivers over there are CRAZY. You get more of an adrenaline rush riding in those bus then climbing. Met up with my private guide early morning and we took off in his pick up truck. The road was blocked because local people basically dug a trench across it. I haven't figured out why yet as my guide didn't speak english nor did anyone else in that area.. anyways we took a detour through the grassy fields and ended up getting stuck really good in the high plains near Chimborazo... I think it took us about 2 hours to get out of there. Pushing a truck in high altitude is no fun at all... Amazingly local people came out of nowhere, like seriously it's a whole lot of nothing over there and 4 local guys came out of nowhere... and helped us push the truck for over an hour. There's not much over there... mostly alpacas which are surprisingly aggressive! Don't get to close haha. My guide and I left our camp site at around 3am in total darkness... I had no clue where I was going but he did, most likely because he summited this mountain over 300 times. I think it took us about 7 hours to reach the summit. This is a super fun climb with a bit of everything. Steep snow slopes, rock climbing, lot's of loose rock tumbling down from everywhere as soon as the sun hits the mountain, high altitude, great views. We had the mountain to ourselves and I really enjoyed it. My picture skills get really poor when i'm in high altitude...mainly cause I feel super lazy.
