Default Sedona - Apr 14-17 2016

We made another expedition to Sedona to try to cover most of the sights and hikes we missed last year.
We started with Bear Mountain...5 miles return
then Fay Canyon...2.2 miles return
the next day found us on Huckaby trail to the Midgely Bridge..5.2 miles
then Marg's Draw in a thunderstorm..3 miles
On Saturday we hiked up to Brin's Mesa which we did last year from a different Trailhead. This trail has the best scenery in Sedona..6 miles
Then Cibola Pass for lunch on a ridge..2 miles
After lunch we went back to Devils Bridge because we liked it so much last year...it's a lot busier in April than February...4 miles
On Sunday we walked about 4 miles of trails in Red Rock State Park and Red Rock Crossing which we didn't cross because it was too deep.
Scheurman Mountain was the last hike at 2 miles.
The weather was unseasonably cool ranging from 4-16 degrees C.

excellent! we love Sedona hiking and did bear mtn last year. Never have done Devil's bridge but I hiked up mt wilson last December.

One trail that is not often hiked, but is in good shape, near Oak Creek is Turkey Creek. It works it's way up to top of a shield volcano with nice views looking north to Sedona. I was just thinking of putting up a TR on it.

We plan on heading back there end of the year again. Endless exploration opportunities
