Gee Davin, I just passed this trip report over thinking it was from your trip out that way from a couple years ago! I love how the houses are stacked along the cliff walls and painted so many different colors. I could see Erin's face as the "loud" couple carried on upstairs! LOL!!
Ya, Erin was annoyed at first, but after a while she started to find the humor in it. Regarding the bright colors of the houses, someone told me they used boat paint back in the day. The tradition of colorful paint has continued. It's amazing how the houses are perched in the most precarious looking places. You wouldn't want to build like that on a fault line!

Great report of a great place . The only time I ever visited St John's was in the middle of winter hanging out with my friend that was there for University. Needless to say we stayed indoors as much as possible! Brutal in the winter but these reports over the last couple of years on CT really has me seriously rethinking visiting Nfld properly.

Beautiful place indeed.
