Default Grass Pass / Boundary Pine 2014-01-02

First hike of 2014, out to some of my old stomping grounds I haven't seen since the flood.

Took snowshoes but left them in the truck, the Chinooks have scoured the front-country and we had no trouble just hiking. Up to Grass pass, across to a high point on Bull Creek Hills, drop to the Boundary Pine and out again. Quick outing with my youngest, still hanging around until university resumes next week.

Happy New Year all!

BTW, we did a little tour down to Cataract Creek - the road is open and plowed to the usual winter gate on the the trunk road. Not much snow down that way either.

Good to hear a winter report from this area, Clayton. Glad you had a good day out.

Yeah, it was good to be out there again. Grass pass to access Holy Cross was the last scramble before the flood hit so there was a little sense of closure to be back.

^ thanks"! Funny how they seem to know hunting season is over and it's time to relax again.
