Default Could it only be November??

yes it could be...

highwood pass was great yesterday, lot's of people, but lots to go around.

considering that the avy hazard in the alpine was considerable,i was surprised that every nearby slope of every angle was getting skiied right into the alpine, and not a sign of instability.

Seeing this, we decided to give a nice line a go,off the side of pocaterra ridge and oh was it ever so sweet!

Here is a link to a video of my day: https://vimeo.com/54275944

Did you make to the summit? I'm thinking about give Pocaterra Ridge a shot before road closure, on skis. How's condition on Highwood Ridge?

yep. not sure about highwood ridge.

i would fully consider avalanche conditions though and bring all gear, just because these slopes didnt slide, doesnt mean they wont and by the time you try pocaterra, the area might recieve more snow and wind, which wouldn't help things.
