Default What happened to Peakfinder.com?

I haven't been able to connect to Peakfinder.com in the last few days. Does anyone know what happened?

It's a great resource to find quick historical information and stats about the mountains. I want it back!!!

Does anyone know who was/is running the website?

Thanks!

That explains it.

Kind of like a venture capital corporation missing its filing deadline.

I finally got a message saying the domain had expired. I actually found a contact for Dave Birrell on a cached site, and e-mailed him. He did respond saying they didn't know anything was wrong, but nothing has been fixed since.

I hope they get it back up!

ah, but that is a classic problem isn't it. External links from personal web space. There is no guarantee, ever, any site/domain will be live forever.

Had a few websites I used heavily in the past; taken over by another entity. result , personal videos on one wiped out.............and an array of 7000 photos organized into dozens of photo albums (which involved a lot time and effort)... deleted.

Yep. That's why I copied and pasted the info into explor8ion rather than just link it...
