Default GPS Status and toolbox pro

Great little tool for improving accuracy and performance for Android smartphone GPS platforms. Includes electronically gimbaled compass which turns on sensors you didn't know you had in your phone including 3 axis performance, barometric pressure and altitude. Ability to upload waypoints and export also. Makes a great working eCompass and does not rely on the internet. Lots of settings options. Pro version avoids ads and permissions. Pro version is accessed through the tools status and phone must be restarted to activate the pro key (They forget to mention that).

I use the Pro version. Excellent app if you're going to use a smartphone for nav/mapping. Gobbles up a bit of RAM and processor cycles but still wouldn't do without it

Same here. An excellent app. For $2.94 cents it's a good deal. now if I could just make up my mind on whether to use Back country navigator Pro or something else. Still undecided there. I have two smart phones and one is a dedicated GPS now with the programs loaded on both.

I use Alpine Quest. Very functional, great pre-caching of areas using Open Source maps as well as Bing, Google, Canadian and USA government maps.
