These are basically PDFs... so if your smartphone (regardless of brand/OS) can render a the PDF... it's yours...
If you can run Google Earth and open the KML on it, better still.

They are using the typical PDF use case as well (that is to say renders exactly as you created it - typically what you want for display or printing) - so I'm not sure how useful this is for other mapping apps.

A quick look at the PDF properties indicate they used ESRI ArcMap to make them... so out there is a great dataset I'd love to get my hands on...

It's disappointing that these maps don't show any logging roads.

My first thought: Yay - more fairly detailed maps to look at, print out and plan trips around.

My second thought: Bugger - how many people are going to download these to their smartphones and then use them to navagate... bright screen + enabled GPS = short battery life... so how many people will blow through their battery in a few hours, and then be left with no map, no phone and will get lost.
