Default Costa Rica maps sought in Vancouver and on-line

What would be the best location (brick and mortar store) to buy good Costa Rica maps in Greater Vancouver? And then, what would be the best location to buy Costa Rica maps on-line? First I am looking for paper maps (for trip planning).

Next I'll be looking for Garmin GPS maps possibly. I noticed amazon.ca sells the Costa Rica map for Garmin GPSr for about $140. Is it worth the money? I'd prefer to buy on-line from Canada to avoid the hassle with clearing customs.

Thanks! Medved

If you need a bricks and mortar store:

wanderlust on 4th (north side) between cypress and maple.

ITMB store - 12300 Bridgeport Road, Richmond, BC

OpenStreetMap and OpenCycleMap may do the job also as free online maps. OpenCycleMap (can access from OpenStreetMap page also) has contour lines for almost the whole globe. Depending on the region they might have a very rich and up-to-date data such as trails; even have Hollyburn cross country ski trails in N.Vancouver.

Geokov map maker - can compare OpenStreetMap and Google Maps for details in the same window. And overlay OpenCycleMap over Google Terrain for shaded-relief topo map.

Noticed the Vancouver MEC on Broadway had a few Costa Rica maps when I dropped in about two weeks ago.
