Default Need Recommendations for the Rockies in early June

I'm spending the first week of June in the Rockies with a conference meeting in the middle in Banff. Seeking outdoor trip ideas around that area, including anywhere along the way (i.e. Rogers Pass, Yoho, Kootney, or even north to Jasper/Mt. Robson area). I'd like to mix the trip with some challenging objects (i.e. Mt. Sir Donald) and some nice scenery hikes (i.e. Berg Lake). Anything ranging from a day/overnight to 3-4 days.

Anyone been there around the same time of year before? Any beta on snow, weather, temperature will be appreciated.
Any classic hike/scramble/climbs I should not miss? I'm up for anything to the level of easy-moderate mountaineering.
Any guide books you recommend?

Appreciate your input!

Berg is definitely doable in early June. However the best day hike (Snowbird pass) is closed until July for Caribou calving.

For hiking/backpacking, Don't Waste Your Time in the Canadian Rockies is an excellent guide for suggesting the trips to make best use of limited time.
But early June is still barely spring here, so there's a lot that can't be accessed yet.
Definitely the icefields parkway will be not yet hikeable.
pick up the Banff GemTrek map, and look for south-facing trails.
