A few pages back I suggested an appreciation of Grade 12 physics would go a long way in this discussion. I'm not trying to demean you, or anyone else. However, there are foundational concepts related to Electro-magnetic radiation such as field theory, flux and the inverse square law that must be grasped or you will forever be running down rabbit holes of conjecture.

Far better to understand the mathematics and physics of EM energy than to glibly consume google spew. If you do that you will at least give yourself some relief from anxiety. Are you sure about your comment re: NO radiation level is safe? Sunlight is electromagnetic radiation given off, in particular in the infrared, visible, and ultraviolet spectrum. Thank God for that radiation. We wouldn't be having much of a conversation without it.

edit: added a sentence and spelling fix

Google Monsanto.

Maybe that's way over your head?

Also, I am aware of my computer, that's what I posted earlier. But I feel it's a necessary evil, until the technology changes unfortunately. My computer is however, wi-i free.

Hmm, maybe you have a point

The government has installed a dozen or so electromagnetic field emitters on my street and turn them on every night. They even shine into my windows. And it's not just my street, they are everywhere, probably a hundred thousand of them in my city alone, millions of them across the country. They say it's for safety, but I know better. Your article talks about Laser Induced Biological effects, and we all know that lasers are just light right, so they are exactly equivalent to street lights, and they flash at 60Hz which is exactly the same at the 15Hz frequency that can cause epileptic seizures. These lasers can also cause blinding effects with less than a watt of power, these street lights are 100s of times more powerful. Have you noticed the number of people wearing glasses these days? It's pretty clear that there is a link.

I think you're missing the big picture. It's not these microwave sites we need to worry about, its the street lights outside your window. Quick, write your City Councilor, your MLA, your MP, the Prime Minister, the UN, and Santa Clause, they all can't all have been paid off by "big light"

Here's a thought for something constructive to do with the energy spent expressing these concerns. Spend sometime along one of our coastal seashores gathering up plastic waste, rope and metal. Or perhaps along a fish habitat and fishing area. Encourage others to adopt a waterway of any size and help to keep it clean of refuse.

During my recent trip to Peru this fall, we met a lady from Chile who during her travels tries to at least bring back one bag of refuse (plastics and pop cans) on her return trip. There is no monetary gain for her as Peru has a limited to nil recycling program at this point as far as beverage containers are concerned. The benefit for her is as a role model to others and hopes that one day the backcountries of SA will be cleaner.

This discussion is still on the BC regional board so I'm only saying this as the time could be better spent getting out and doing some pro-active cleanup in BC during this shoulder season. Doesn't have to be a lot and while you're out there, take a couple of EMF testers and microwave popcorn so that you can get some base-line readings when the jets fly by.

I wanted to finish this up by saying this is also your strongest point in that we are all guilty of spending too much time on the PC. Myself included. time to change....

Holly crap! Those "environment" canada bastards have those things everywhere.

And the Coast Guard has them for the ocean.

Not to mention airports, aircraft, boats... omg my own rescue vessel has one!

I'm not going out on the boat anymore until we run with it off. It will be much safer running at 25 knots at night with no radar.

well, i haven't clicked on any of those links, and i'm no ex-SIGINT guy, but know as much about this as a SIGINT guy would, probably more

being concerned about any emitter is always a good idea...it's not a good idea to spend a day licking a nav radar, for example...you wouldn't want to sit beside this olympic peninsula unit, either...so if hikers can walk up to the thing, that isn't a swell idea, probably

but damage is a function of frequency, power levels, and proximity...without putting examples in that context, there's really nothing to discuss
