Here's just a couple of my favorites from this year. I haven't been so fortunate as the rest of you to capture such excellent photos. Here are just a couple.

i geuss my cat might not qualify as wildlife, but he rips me to shreds

Bird off shore from stanley park, amazing how still these birds stand i think that might have been a 10 second exposure and it didnt move at all, unlike the seagulls.

Thanks Steve OZ

Actually one of my best EVER wildlife shot photo opps happend sans camera(surprise surprise) - It was on the way into Revelstoke. I was part of a small convoy of cars that were stopped on the Hwy as there had been a bit of a rockslide and they were doing some clearing.

Had to use the outhouse and lucky me the crew brought one along

On my way back to the car, I looked down from a bridge and noticed 4 bighorns (3 Adults, one juvenile standing just meters below me.) I wondered what was keeping them there despite all the ruckus?

I didn't see it as first.

I looked up a bit and there was a 4th adult bighorn, a big brute staring at me. At his feet was his lifeless companion. She(?) looked to have fallen victim to passing vehicle within the last 24hrs or so...

I just stood and stared transfixed awhile and he looked at me as if to say "don't come any closer. I'm standing my ground" and then he droped his head down and nudged the broken body at his feet and looked up at me again. I could have cried. Big softie Canadian Gal that I am... I think I even whispered "sorry".

I cursed myself for not having a camera!

Looking back towards the car I noticed a trucker taking landscape shots a few hundred meters away. I ran off towards him and dragged the poor guy over to the bighorns. He snapped away.

I gave him my business card and told him I'd really be interested in getting copies of the shots. Unfortunately none ever arrived.

Would have made quite a moving photograph I think.
