Default ClubTread Photo of the month - December entries

Now that the drout is over and we're into the rainy season, its time to hit the trails and get some shots in not so perfect weather. That is a perfect lead in for this month's theme: the "Wet" Coast.

The photo is your interpretation of the Wet Coast. It could be somthing as simple as raindrops in a puddle or more daunting like pictures in a rainstorm.

Special thanks to HikerBoy for this suggestion. If you have a suggestion for a future topic, email me at [email protected]

REGULAR NOTES:

Looking for your submissions for the photo of the month. You can be honored as the outdoor photographer for the month. It doesn't matter if it is digital or SLR, as long as you can submit it in an electronic form. Format should be 640x480, JPG, any quality level you like, max file size 512K.

Each person can only submit one photo for that particular month. Submissions can continue until the 20th. Submissions are made by replying to this thread and including your photo in the reply. Also include some info as to where the photo was taken, etc.

People will then have an opportunity to vote on the picture from the 21st of the month until the end of that month. The photo with the most votes can be set as the photo of the month. On the 21st of this month, send your vote to [email protected].

In Pender Harbor, we went on a hike and at the top was the view
of these salt water rapids. Awesome to see.

Ok, I have decide to enter a photo, I am not a photographer though, I just have friends who are. It is a sunset shot from one of the many beaches along the Olympic National Park one of the places I would love to do some more explorering, hiking and camping this time into the Quinault Rainforest. Myself and a group of photographers from the Burnaby Photography Club explored the coast one year.

Nothing beats the fog lifting off the lake at first light.

Here is my muddy contribution. I took a trip out to Billygoat land during the heavy rains last month. This is the Chilliwack River just below the Slesse Creek bridge. You could hear large rocks bouncing along the bottom, and the occasional tree with roots attatched would float by. Very powerful!

Animals are my friends...and my friends taste good barbequed!

Frank, crazy picture! [}]

I saw a very similar sight last March at Lynn Creek - not quite as big, but it was still pretty violent!
