Default Olympics - share your pictures!

I didn't know which forum to stick this in. Having noticed how much Vancouver has changed since Expo, and now that we're hosting another major event, I've been wandering about town taking Olympics snapshots for the sake of remembering 20 years down the road.

Share your Vancouver 2010 Olympic pictures (whether "quality photography" or just snapshots...all mine are from a hand-held, older model point-and-shoot, many in low light).

The last one I sneaked in only because it struck me as a "the moment we've all been waiting for" (whether positively or negatively) moment.

The dog caught my eye, that's a great picture and better dog!

As for the cherry blossoms, yes. We had some blooming in new west on Jan 10.

Hence the reason why they can't race. No snow but lots of showers and pretty flowers LOL.

I'm volunteering at the men's alpine events as a Steward. Here are some pics.

Some pics of the men's alpine course - Dave Murray

Hard working slippers on the course. ALL day they slide sideways, then snow plow and FAST!

The dye team, all day these guys are up and down spraying the course.

The men had a successful training run last Thursday. They managed to sneak it in before it got really stormy!

Many people are involved in getting the course ready, from the course crew, to the slippers and the dye crew. Then the course is ready for the guys!

check it out!

Thanks for those pics Shinsplints! I have a real interest in the men's downhill! I'm glad they postponed it, hopefully it will freeze up nicely.

GO MANUEL!!!!

Looks like they ran out of funding for paint and had to leave the Olympic rings in primer [:0]
