Amazing how warm it was yesterday evening. Today mild, just imagine the snow loss in time for the oylimpics.

Saw Crocuse and daffodils rearing their heads in North Van last evening. A sign of spring... and allergy sufferers are getting it early.

My frigging daff's are coming up! About 1.5" above ground now. Hope it doesn't freeze and kill them now...

There was a heap of slush at 1400m on Goat Mountain, snow melt gushing down the bluffs - slow to arrest slidding on crampons.

I have noticed over the past 10 years that winter holds it's grip to the later half of March. So don't worry there will still be some snow to come.

Maybe, maybe not. El Nino dropped by for a visit this year: http://thegovmonitor.com/world_news/...yet-18552.html

What's also interesting is that article claims that 2010-2019 will be on average warmer than the warmest recorded yet (1998). Yikes!
