I'm not sure if I'll have the time on Sunday to get out so I'll post this one from 2 weeks ago taken on the West Canyon Trail, Golden Ears Park.

No, didn't go near Montmagny, but on my way to Charlevoix, I passed near St-Joachim where there are litteraly thousands of geese at this time of the year.

What a great photo Chance, it seems to go on forever and ever... Looking at it makes me want to head up there with my canoe.. Do people paddle this streatch of the river?

Yes, the view is very impressive up there. And yes, people paddle this part of this river. Here is what the Parks department say about the part you see on the picture:

Quote:
quote:Enjoy spectacular valley scenery and stunning views of the highest rock faces in Eastern Canada as you paddle along a 10 km stretch of calm water on Riviere Malbaie. Observe the numerous wildlife habitats along the banks of the river. Canoes and kayaks are available for rental during the tourist season.
People usually do longer trips on this river, making it one or two nights along the way. But this part can be done in one day.

Sorry folks for posting multiples. I've pared it down to this one, as my entry:

Don't let life pass you by.

Not to seem pernicious, but I think some people have posted mutiple pictures and my understanding is that in this "contest" we each get one submission. So maybe those who have posted more than one photo should designate which of their photos is the official entry. So as not to confuse the voting.
