A rumour (substantiated by a seemingly non-photoshopped image) is that Canon will release a 7D in September.

It's still very unclear that it will be. I'm hoping that it will take a place between the 50D (not Full frame) and the 5D MkII (full frame). Some info seems to indicate that it's 12 Mpix. If it really is a FF 12Mpix camera, it would be even be better then the 5D MkII in low light situation. Current price is from a Best Buy inventory entry, but doesn't make any sense because it's the same as the 5F MkII, so hopefully just a placeholder entry.

If we really get a FF 12Mpx priced at around 2k USD, I'll be really happy, because the low light ability of the 5D MkII is why I really wanted that camera.

I'm sure more rumors will surface over the next few weeks

Canon is the king of market segmentation; expect it to be less camera than you hope for for no reason than they don't want to cannibalize their 5D market.
