Favourite flower pic
I looked for a generic flower pic thread but didn't see one. This one is from last summer on Mosquito Creek below the Baden Powell, from a set of photos I never did post. I came across it again recently and it still makes me smile.

This is my favourite flower photo; it was taken on Flower Ridge (of all places) in Strathcona Park in the summer.
Anyone one know what this is? I'm terrible at identification, I've heard Pojan and McKinnon is a good book to own? Other recommendations?

Hybridized Columbine.
We have columbines all over the place, but I've only here and there come across the really neat dual-colour ones. Especially one this well-defined.

I love flowers, they always make me smile
(first two were taken in Babine range september, they would freeze at night, thaw out during the day, the best display of bronze, gold, reds & purples ever!- last 2 taken this summer on Elk)

This is a favorite of mine as I have no particularly defined favorite, but I will say that the dwarf bunchberry is a favorite flower subject of mine:
Incidentally the droplets on the bunchberry were from a small spray bottle that I had along for such an occassion.

I believe this is a sagebrush mariposa lily. This was taken in July 2008 near Cache Creek.
