Yeah - it's really too bad that they upped the resolution yet again (noisier) and shortened the focal length by almost half. Why can't they put out a Gxx camera that's an update of the Pro1? That camera was almost perfect. 28-200 L lens with RAW. Sometimes I regret selling mine.

Anyone know anything about the Ricoh R10? It's very interesting. Exactly the range I'm looking for. The only downside I can see is that it doesn't have a RAW mode, but that isn't necessarily a deal killer.

One definite downside is that it isn't officially available in Canada, so I would have to order from the states. With a camera that compares so well with the Panasonic TZ5, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. That, and the lack of a truly manual mode is putting me off.

You could go with a G9 or G10 and get the wide angle converter that would take you down to about 28mm focal length.
