Thanks for the info, Tim. I always go down to Mt Vernon to see the tulip fields there. It's nice to see something closer to home.

The tulips in Fredonia / La Conner are juuuust starting. I was down there last weekend and went to the fields despite being warned that the flowers were not open yet.

Well, that afternoon they just started to open and I got some shots. Here's the set.

If you go this weekend, the flowers should all be in full bloom (and perhaps with some snow on them too - imagine the photo possibilities!)

Very nice Cwall! I have Tuesdays off and the weather is promising to be better. Hopefully I can get some nice tulip shots with Mt. Cheam in the background.

Thanks for the update, BG and seawallrunner. Your set is beautiful, seawallrunner, and I look forward to yours, BG.

We went looking for them yesterday but didn't know which road to take and totally missed it, thanks for the link.

There is also (I heard) a field of tulips somewhere along Camp River Road.

It is the road that runs parallel with the highway in seabird island isn't it? If you were heading from Agassiz bridge go past the agassiz turnoff keep going past seabird island main entrance, until you get to the gas station, turn left into the gas station parking lot, and the road is behind there.

I stopped in there today before the sun went down, talk about beautiful colours! It was awesome, can't imagine in another week they will be in bloom even better...

A busy day at the tulip fields today as can be seen by the cars along the road:

It was, however, a lovely day, I took a multitude of photos and here are a few.....

I've driven by it at least 4 times and each time HAD to stop and take shots. Photos are nice but don't do justice, you really have to go there and walk around it to really appreciate it. A great place for a family walk.

We had a similar problem with a vole. arg! But I managed to get the little bugger.

I didn't realize the Agassiz festival was so nice. Are there several farms? What is the general area or is there signage?

It is 40 acres, and it is one big field with two large sections of tulips owned by a greenhouse company in rosedale.
Map:

The owner states:
"My business goal is two-fold. I first wanted to be able to allow the public to enjoy the beauty of our fields, allowing them to tip toe through 40 acres of tulips and take pictures to their hearts content. My second goal was to provide the public with Canadian grown bulbs that they can enjoy in their own gardens each spring."

I felt his statement well worthy of mentioning.

I know this is an old thread, but I did a photo shoot at the Agassiz Tulip Festival today.
Flowers reached their peak last w/end, but I managed to get some good shots today.
