Does this mean we won't be getting any more links sites like the Superman game?

Nice camera, Monster. Look forward to seeing more of your shots.

Okay... I'll hold off - for how long I can't say though.

As far protecting your screen, I bought a pack of these years ago, and use them for my cell and ipaq screens. They work great - just trim to fit. I've never put one on my 30D though, and after a year and a half, there's no sign of scratching. I don't know how much it might interfere with the optical quality, but it's somethign you might consider. (All my previous cameras had flip LCDs)

Our daughter dropped our camera this summer and we were horrified that she had cracked the screen. I'm not sure about Nikon cameras or point and shoots, but with the Canons that not's actually the LCD screen you're seeing, it is a plastic covering. We ordered a new one from Canon, it cost $8 plus shipping (which was more than the part!). If you're comfortable with doing it you can use a suction cup to pop off the old covering and stick the new on one with double sided tape.

It's funny the first thing you see when you pull the old cover off is the big "Sony" at the bottom of the LCD screen!

I dropped my Cannon A630 Powershot while bike riding
I didnt notice for about 2 weeks that it had seperated slightly along the seem where the top and bottom seem together on the body of the camera. It has not caused any problems with photos & quality thank god... But it bugs me it is .01 mm wider gap than it should be in the middle.

As for those flip screens they are the ULTIMATE, I love being able to flip the screen and be able to get the camera in very odd places & angles and sometimes without straining my back I can just flip it upwards if it is low on the ground etc.

Alrighty Aces, I have a couple of samples for you however... I did not have a wide angle lens till yesterday so these are all taken with my 70-200 telephoto during a quick marsh paddle I did over the weekend. I hope to have some landscape stuff to share from my new wide angel lens later today but I must make note that... I'm getting a much better hit ratio with my 70-200 on this 40D than I ever did on my 20D.

Nothing spectacular but I'm not disappointed for some test shots
