Default RAW conversion software affects resolution?

Up until last week, I was using the Olympus Master software for RAW conversion which came with my E-500. The pixel dimensions when converting to TIFF or JPEG came out to 3254x2448 pixels, or just a hair under 8.0MP.
Now I use Pixmantec's RAWshooter Essentials 2006, which incidentally is far better than Olympus Master. Anyway, when I do conversions from RAW with this software I come up with a pixel dimension of 3333x2499 pixels, or around 8.33MP. Not a major upgrade of resolution, but I do find it interesting that I get an extra 1/3 MP with another converison software.

Anybody else have this happen?
