I find it cheaper to make your own mix and you can put in whatever you like. I like raisins myself; a good source of energy and cheap:

If you're pulling the raisins out because they're the hardened kind, like you usually get in toasted granola, it's understandable, I guess. Try making your own with a more plump variety. If it's just that you don't like em', no sympathy!

Also, about the melting of chocolate... Does a person thicken their soup in winter? Let the seasons guide what you put in. Also, there's carob. I think it has a higher melting temperature.

Yeah but add a leg to the r and you could have bacon! I'll admit the few times I had it, it didn't impress. Everyone just say 'chocolate'. Now say 'carob'. It's not the same.

Walmart has bagged trailmix varieties, 300-400 grams for under 3 dollars when they have their roll backs. Dried nuts and dried fruits, and some with smarties. It tastes good and is a good price (best price for trail mix i've seen, actually). :S

I have a love/hate relationship with raisins. No real rhyme or reason to it. Some times I love them, some times I hate them. One thing is for certain though, every woman who has been even remotely close to my trail mix has mercilessly picked out every bit of chocolate.

Pretty much all of my trail mixes = chocolate and dissapointment (when I can't find any more chocolate among the rest of it)..

Trying to branch out a bit and get into more savoury, spicy mixes, but it'll be an uphill battle..

Who needs a signature? Mine is always: Last edited by dougz; Today at 03:27 PM
