1970 was the first year for the Canucks, remember that season as exciting start to first year at UBC..
Then the disappointments also started, with nearby neighbours and friends screaming at the Canucks (TV Views) in disgust.

Yes I remember the novelty of the first season the Canucks played; recall too much emotions involved with wins and losses, wins were so rare then.
Amusing time to watch several guys scream and scold the TV box in the Dormitories then, as if the players could hear them.

A sense of sadness ...... another hockey year winding down for the believers ....
Another season ..... you, older .... knowing that this years dreams didn't come true yet again ..
You, older ..... reasons to believe .... fading like the sunset ...
But, wait ! ..... we'll be in a perfect position for next year !
There's hope .......
Next year is ......... 'Our Year'
This year has been a great predictable year ........ with another glorious end in sight.

It's been a long drought but you're not a Canucks fan unless you can savour a broken heart...sigh
I still recall, as a kid starting high school in Vancouver, the joy of them winning their last WHL championship before the NHL jump (KARVITK... you remember Andy Bathgate?)
Tonight it's a nice tall Gin and Tonic, big bowl of potato chips and the 'nucks.... still do love 'em , I guess
