Default Simon Yates Void Tour

I thought this might be of interest to some of you folks on the coast. Simon Yates, from the movie "Touching The Void", will be in Vancouver Nov. 5th.
Here is the link from the ACC Facebook page.

I'm sorry, does my Simon "Slasher" Yates joke offend? His nickname in S American climbing circles is 'cutter', and that's to his face. He's a good mountaineer and all that, but his fame is derived from that one action, in which no one died. And I'm more than comfortable cracking a joke about it.

Did Simon deserve all the crap was thrown his way afterwards for cutting the rope.

His cutting the rope ended up saving BOTH of their lives did it not?

I'd like to think that if I were ever in Joe's position I would be of sound enough mind to accept that it is better that I [probably] die and let the other person have a fighting chance, rather than have us both die needlessly.

So is this just for ACC members only. If so too bad, looks pretty interesting.
