No kidding...you'd think that with all this "Global warming", we'd get a real scorcher of a summer! As it turns out, we got a good heat wave near the end of June, then most of July was crap....a week or two at the beginning of August, then more crap...and now it's Autumn!
Funny thing too, we just went through our SECOND crop of mosquitoes!

This years summer was shortened because it was a La Nina year. La Nina happens around every 3-5 years, so we should be good for the next few summers. And I think some of those IOC folks are really hoping we don't get hit with a significant El Nino year during the Olympics.

Well, we're only one season away from ski season! I got my first set of AT ski gear last spring - got lots of chances to use the gear on corn snow with the extended spring skiing we had this year, but I've yet to take the gear out on powder day - can't wait for the snow!

Memory is selective... I remember the hot weather of this past July with a couple of days of 35C in the Valley!

It's been a terrific summer. Really. I saw it.

Kind of nice to see the leaves begin changing colour now though...

I thought it was a pretty good summer too. Definitely much, much better than last summer. I know we didn't get a whole of really hot days, but we did get lots of really nice days and not non-stop rain every weekend for the whole summer (remember last year).
All in all I thought it was great, and I'm looking forward to a nice fall.

Oh come on! We had a great summer. I don't understand why people complain about the weather so much. All I remember about my summer was sun and more sun. It's not because it's not super hot and humid out there that it's crappy. In fact, I much prefer it that way.

the only summer that sucks is when it's so dry that the forests all get closed due to fire danger. remember 4 or 5 years ago?

I have not yet accepted that summer is over. Even as Christmas catalogues begin to come through the mailslot.

Some people see the glass half empty, some see it half full.
