Very sad, and this girl was just a bit younger than me.

I sure hope no one in my family reads the story.

I think people (especially women) hiking in no mans land should carry a lethal weapon, not just bear spray. You just never know what kind of crazy person (bank robber etc.) could be in the woods. A knife on the belt would likely be suitable, however would be useless if faced with a gun.

Terrible tragedy, a reminder to all, not to trust strangers in the woods 100%, and be vigilante.

K, don't think I'm too sick, but at least it happened in the states. If this happened in Canada nothing wud happen to the guy and he wud be out before the family finished grieving.

Hey that is just bunk Mayhem! First we would fix his teeth, place him above all the wait lists for surgery and fix all his ailments, offer him free education and then we would give him counselling, a crack pipe some needles and a few bucks to get him back on his feet. Now thats the Canadian way! Make me the chief justice for just 6 months and I will gladly bring back the death penalty make it retrocative and clean out our jail cells!!!

Heehee...fix his teeth...that's funny.

I think it's too bad that they had to agree not to kill him just so he'd talk..if they find he was responsible for those other killings, maybe he'll get the death penalty in those cases...

Yes, but I'm pretty sure that the bargain was just for this particular case and those other killings [u]I think </u>were in other states..which would make those completely seperate prosecutions..so the deal that he made in Georgia shouldn't apply in those other cases. At least that's what I hope..
