Mt Bruce short, steep, scenic
Had a bit of time in Invermere and took a few friends for the short, very steep hike up to 8000' high Mt Bruce overlooking the Columbia Valley. This a sweet hike, with about 2.5 km of very steep, 'grouse grind' type trail followed by a few km of awesome ridge hiking. A 24 km drive along the Bruce FSR from Wilmer BC gets you there assuming you have a decent vehicle.
Amazing views across to the Rockies and 5000' down to the Columbia Valley. Beautiful meadows of Larch.

Very worthwhile. The trail is much steeper than Pedley for the first 2.5 km, but after that it's beautiful ridge hiking
