Default Iron Mountain & Red Mountain ( Mission ) April 26, 2021

Me and Jenn had some unfinished business with Red mountain due to only making it to the South bump that was labelled as the summit, when the North bump was 60m higher. I had been saving this one for a one to do after we both go off work during the midweek. Traffic still sucks heading from West to East but we just beat the worst of the rush hour.

There are a few ways up but we decided to take the most direct hiking/biking trail. Someone has been working on the trail and put in a pretty insane mountain bike drop that has a terrible run out. Pretty crazy to do that line.

After that we hit an old road and then bashed our way upto the top that had a helicopter platform and a tower.

We took a different trail down, that kinda went out of the way but it was a change of scenery and looped us back to the car.

Next we jumped in the car to meet up with Katie to head up Iron Mountain to catch the sunset. Pretty straight forward trail, passes by a nice bluff, and then along a ridge to the summit that has another tower. There is also a road you can walk up but that's kinda boring.

We went back to the bluff and hung out until dark and then motored back to the car, for a long hour drive back to Tsawwassen and an early start for work.

Looks refreshing! We had a Cariboo for the tailgate shot after Red, and then in the dark at the lookout for the hike out

Love this shot!

Edit: the one with the dog ha! Can't be bothered to fix this. CT software is getting more and more outdated.
