Default Trophy-Silvertip June 21 2020

Another first for us in Wells Gray Park.
Silvertip Falls is only a couple kilometres off the Trophy FSR. The Creek drains the north side of Trophy Meadows.
There’s a nice 2 place campsite at the trailhead. The trail is a little over a kilometre but steep wet and rooty.
Very impressed by this waterfall.
Next we drove to Trophy Meadows trailhead. The trail to the meadows is also very wet with the snow getting deeper as we gain elevation. At the meadows we see some anemones and glacier lilies in the bare patches. The snow was mostly about 1 meter deep so the waterfalls of WellsGray will be roaring for a while yet!

Thanks for the update. I was going to try and summit Trophy on my way back from Berg lake next week and I think I am going to hold off I don't feel like camping on all that snow around Sheila lakes. That waterfall does look interesting though I might check that out.

Could you please post few words when you get back about Berg Lake (trail conditions, etc). Much appreciated!

(Mr. B - great to hear again from you. Lots of snow in Trophy Meadows it seems like everywhere else)

I made a mistake. Silvertip Creek drains the south side of Trophy Meadows.
