This hike came up very short notice; Ingrid wanted to hike this one and I had viewed Steven Song's album of this one. I had worked in the Lillooet Forest Area 1981 - 1986; and with this history I was happy to join up. A long drive 2-1/4 hours to reach town from my home, and a further 1/2 hour up West Pavilion Road to find the trailhead, park, get ready, and go.
We started out with cloud, top of the mountain was inside cloud which made for misty conditons. Cleared away shortly after we had summitted and were heading back down. We got some good views of the country around us.
A great trip. not sure of the stats; it took us 2 - 1/2 hours to ascend to lookout from Ingrid's vehicle. think it was 1000 meters cumulative elevation gain, about 12 km + distance . We started heading up 11:15 am and were back down shortly after 5 pm. A lot of stops for photo ops; hence a very large count in photos. Only a small portion of these are posted in this report.
