Mt. Thom and Vedder Rotary trail are two places near my home, where a good workout or a relaxing walk can be had.
This day started out with Mt. Thom, hiked to the usual summit, and then checked out a few new trails to the east, one of which just put in last year, on map it shown as # 9 - dashed dgreen line.

This workokut hike with 400+ meters elevation gain over not quite 7 km return takes two hours and a quarter return.
