Default A Scottish Tale -> Skid Trail (Ice Climbing)

Mike and I climbed A Scotish Tale on Monday. It was a fun (but long) climb. One of the chimnies is still really thin, but by next weekend it should be quite nice. The top-out by the gondola was also nice, but unfortunatly the gondola was closed due to weather. Not sure when it will open.

On the way down we took Skid Trail, which was probably a bad idea in the dark, that trail isn't in terribly good shape. It's really icy up there (the Wrinkle Rock Trail/Sea to Summit is too). I'd highly recommend traction devices to anyone going up that way.

I've attached some photos. You can read another version at https://alantrick.ca/trips/2019/ast if you want more verbiage.

We were just discussing what possible good could there be to this cold weather. Ice climbers like it, was one answer.
