Default Trail update- HBC Heritage Trail ; Jacobson Lake to Deer Camp

Today (June 21) I cleared all windfall from km marker 22.5-28 (Jacobson Lake, Conglomerate Flats, Palmers Pond, and Deer Camp) on the HBC trail !

Now Peers Cr to Jacobson Lake (km marker 0-28) has been cleared of deadfall and is ready to hike!
Except there is still snow on top of Manson’s Ridge (km 8-9) and Jacobson lake to Palmers Pond (km 25-28)

Great pics. I've been looking at this hike but am wondering about the elevation gains per day. I wonder how many days it would take and which end it would be best to start from

I would recommend hiking it from Tulameen to Hope 100% !!!!
IMO it’s way less elevation gain and who wants to start out a trip up Manson’s Ridge with a heavy pack???
I would say hike around 20km a day (easily) .
I was averaging 3.5 km/hr , so say you hike 3km/hr , that’s about 7 hour a day of hiking at 20km a day! At that pace it would take you 3 nights and 4 days

Check out my video of the trail last summer
