Default Needle Ridge Dec 9 2017

Our first snowshoe trip of the season. We arrived at the sand shed at about 8:30, temp at -3 C and beautiful blue sky.
The trail was nicely packed making the ascent very easy. It warmed up nicely along the ridge and was only windy at the pass.
We followed a snowshoe path toward Needle Peak and had lunch on the boulders. I noticed a second black tower on Flatiron. There was nice views of the Cheam Range, Baker and Old Settler from our rocky perch.
Only ten other people on the trail on this beautiful day!

Looks like a perfect day! Nice that the trail was broken for you.

Wilderness is not a luxury but necessity of the human spirit.

Hi Stu, have yet to do my first real snowshoe trip of the season, far behind my usual schedule.

Injured on a fall on concrete steps outside my apartment, a slip and slam down on my right side on black ice.
