Default Elk/Thurston outhouse

Who builds these outhouses? Is this not number three this year! Where does the funding come from. Why here and not at other trail heads?

Maybe the Chilliwack Forest District had some money left over in the budget at the end of the year. Or there is someone with connections pulling strings for that trailhead, or maybe they had a spare one lying around. Not to sure about the hole in the bottom of the door. Could get a little drafty or someone might snatch a peek.[:0]

The elk/ thurston trail is probably the most heavily used trail in a non-provincial park in the Chilliwack area, so an outhouse certainly is justifiable for this trailhead.
I believe though, that this is now the 4th outhouse that's been put up at this location this year. Makes me think they should erect a fire-proof structure instead of the easily burned down variety.

Think that one is drafty? You should try this one?

The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?~~J.B. Priestley~~

that little wooden number looks like the throne i sat on while enroute to lake ann. i felt very exposed and was ready to turn the tap off and whip the pants back up if i heard anyone coming up the trail. i think i prefer finding a tree somewhere way off trail!

When was this one replaced?
There was none there on our trip in September(?)(maybe August?)
