Golden Ears/Panorama Ridge - June 17, 2017
Four of us did a trail run up to the ridge leading to Golden Ears. We figured we wouldn't make it to the summit, but were surprised by how low the snowline is. We hit steady snow around 1000m. The trail contours some pretty steep slopes after that and we decided to turn around rather than risk sliding down the mountain. With microspikes and ice axes it would be possible to go higher.
All in all we had a good time barrelling down the wet and rocky trail.

Thank you for the current report. that indeed is a very low snowline, and this late in June yet.
