Cypress Bowl: St Mark's Apr.16/17
Friends of mine joined me for a hike/snowshoe up to St. Mark's on Sunday, and the weather proved good for the trip. Light overcast with some filtered sun made for a good dry day. Snow on trail was hard from overnight freezing following daytime melting.... Microspikes were good until the last 10% of the trip with elevations above 1300 meters getting soft snow.
Snow at Cypress Bowl is about 2.5 meters deep, and unknown how deep they were at St. Mark's lookout; my expectations - guess perhaps some where from 3.5 meters..
