Default Mount St. Benedict (Jan,28,2017)

17 of us did Mount St. Benedict in the first day of Chinese new year and enjoyed very much. Wish everyone here all the best in the year of Rooster!

Mt. Benedict was one I did I think 3 x. last time several years ago. you pictures bring back good memories.

No avy danger if you stay pretty much on the marked trail. The snow if fresh and deep can be a real workout going up to the ridge just after McKay Lake.

Watch out for post-holing dangers. keep your distance from groups of small trees, there are hidden cavities which can collapse and send you down quick and deep. Happened to me once up there
