Default Mt Frosty NE Ridge (Sept 16th, 2016)

A fine fall outing, especially if you're looking for an adventure scramble. You can see the upper half of the ridge from the rainbow bridge on Lightning Lake.
2hrs to the toe of the ridge, and 2 hrs up... just shy of 600m vertical, by my watch.

End-on view, from where you leave the trail.

And in profile...

Cute little fella, the only yellow larch I saw all day (most are only just starting).

East summit (2409m) thru a rock arch.

Thank you very much Biffy for the reminder. Would like to get up there, missed last year.

That is a very awesome place.

There were quite a few larches starting in the Lake O'Hara area when we went a week or so ago, so I'm hopeful my Healy/Whistling Pass trip at the end of the month will bear golden fruit..
