Default Tetrahedron Peak, 16.07.14

Finally made it to the top after 2 attempts plagued with late starts and route finding errors. Took the standard route up, about 10 hours round trip.

Have you ever been up tetrahedron from the tetrahedron Park side?

yeah, it'd be nice to see your route. I've been up there a long time ago, can't really recall the route details.

I have not been to Tet peak from the park side. Just did Sechelt-McNair Cabin-Panther Peak this past weekend though. Looks like lots of potential for different routes up there, but finding good approaches through the bush in the summer would be tedious at best.

https://forums.clubtread.com/27-briti...dron-peak.html I took this route up for the most part.

Thanks Derek. How were the snow conditions on Mcnair-Panther trip? How was that section of the road up past the mcnair Dam and the trail in general? I'm planning on a similar trip at end of august, any info helps. I did Tet many years ago from the park side but it was indeed brushy and little fun.

That report Trailrunner (ben) is a very good resource. Forgot about that one.

I went from the Sechelt side so I have no info on McNair creek. There was some snow patches once you get into more open terrain but any of the steeper bits are easily avoidable. You could avoid all snow travel on both Tet and Panther as of now. Off to Steele in a couple hours.

thanks much .... if you go up mt steele, head on over to raven dance peak about 500m ne of mt steele. some good views of Thornhill ck and surrounding terrain, as i recall. It's been a while since i was there. Might still be some snow at the steele cabin, would appreciate any info. Going up there when we get back from an upcoming trip to Jasper
