Seeing Rex's TR from last year, i put this one on the to do list.
A fairly straight route up to the ridge, bushy to start with we passed a few markers, towards the top of the ridge we just found our own way.
The first slab of rock.
Markhor from the sub peak
Heading up to Markhor Summit.
Taking a break on the peak, easy so far.
A couple of cruxs to come before Needle.
Getting down the back of Markhor, we dropped down a bit and found some slings but it was a bit wet, so we took a fairly straight descent further over (to the highway side) The rock has good grip, but lots of butt sliding and bracing your body weight with hands was required.
The way ahead.
The Crux, top half is easy enough, gets harder near the bottom.
Almost on top.
A slight variation on the route up.
Finally on the Peak of needle after a great scramble.
A look back from the ridge heading back down.
A slight loop to our left as we hit the ridge to get to the sub 'peak'
