Red face Coquitlam, Eagle Ridge

Entering from the top of Plateau Blvd, Park before the gate as we did see another woman get locked in.
After the gate there was no signage.
We walked up some gravel roads and back down another that showed up on my fitness app.
I was hoping to find the back entry to Halvor Lunden but I couldn't find good directions online.

It can be confusing up there with the maze of trails. Not sure who created this map, but it's useful to navigate your way around there:

A little while back we followed #1 to 12 to 13 which connected us to Eagle Ridge. I'd try sticking to the bike trails whenever possible, it's easier on the feet. I also bought Steve Chapman's (of Coquitlam SAR) topo map which has great details:

If you follow our approach, the West Viewpoint (aka Vancouver Viewpoint) is worth a stop.

Good luck next time

@ashi - i believe it was "Point" on here that created it, or at least worked on it

I've done this route several times usually by taking the ones marked on the map above 2>1>11>14>13>12>1>2. I heard there was some blow down this year near the Whiterock viewpoint but haven't been up there to see what its like. Finding the trail on both sides of this viewpoint can be tricky as well as getting back on Eagle mountain trail once on Halvor Lunden. GPS helps a lot. Hey pocostef, here is a link to an excellent site and map of the Tri-Cities area. http://tricitiesmap.com/
The map is partially a fund raiser for Coquitlam Search and Rescue done by Steve Chapman.

I usually use some of the mountain bike trails from Fernway or Hickory, as they are much gentler on the feet also more interesting, to access Cypress Lake and the White Rock. The trail from the White Rock to Halvor Lunden trail has a lot of blow down but the work arounds are fairly well marked.
