What is the wildlife situation past the campsite? Is some sort of protection (ie. bear mase) needed?

Yes, a sweet memory. Beautiful area, one I would like to return to and visit, and see the beautiful lake without the ice and snow.

I was just up at the lake this last weekend and had to deal with 3-4 feet of snow around the 750m area, does anyone know when the snow is gone, or is it a yearly snow pack? I also lost the the markers around that area also, it was kind of nice having the footprints as a reminder!

The last couple years it's been minimal within the first week of June. However there is a bigger snowpack this year, so I'd guess maybe in early July?

By the way, was the lake completely thawed?
