A belated trip report.

This trip was one of our scheduled outings on our calendar to do. Three of us; Paul, Jane, and I met in Abbotsford and off we went to the Coquihalla. with four choices to pick from, we settled on Zoa as I was feeling under the weather at the time.



Snow was crusty almost all the way up Zoa; a llittle soft only on the very top.

Snowshoe trip was a little under 10 km round trip, 2-1/2 hours up and 1-1/2 hours down. There was next to no views due to cloud hanging up on the mountain tops.... We had views of Thar when we got above the valley fog, and still under the upper cloud deck. A very neutral day just under 0'C all day long and from top to bottom.

We ended a day to visit the Coquihalla Lake Lodge; and met Coco the guard dog. interesting way the end to the day .... to check out the lodge for the very first time. Several cabins, 8 person capacity, offer accomodation all year round; summer or winter.

A worthy place to overnight a few weekends... and hike the surrounding terrain.
