Started around 2am - gave myself an extra half hour since I wasn't sure if I would have to walk the road (to my surprise it's clear) so I got to the top of Panorama at about 6:00am, before sunrise. Consistent snow starts around the 2.5km mark. It was quite cold so I could pretty much used my mircospikes for the entire trip with the exception of a few parts. I knew that it was going to be quite windy - the forecast was showing gusts of over 60km and boy that was the case! Almost froze my fingers everytime I wanted to take a photo. My iPhone didn't like the cold much and kept shutting off - lucky I had my backup camera. There were about 6 cars at the trailhead when I arrived and I passed a tent set up at the 6km junction - guess they must have started later and decided not to go all the way to the lake. It was super windy on top, with snow blowing quite hard - made for some cool photos though.... Spent about 45min up top and then headed over to Black Tusk which wasn't quite as windy. Didn't see a soul all day until I was on my way down around the 4km mark. Some cool video I took of wind curls just below Panorama.
