Default Sumas Mtn Summit fr Sumas Mtn Road Apr.06/14

First good trip out for me , in recovery mode, to do a hike since my last outing at the start of March. Went up with a fine group of 16 people from the RMOC. Trip took about 6 hours 40 minutes to do 13.5 km round trip with 700+ meters elevation gain including 1/2 hour stop at lake, and similarly at the top..

It was a beautiful warm spring like day, even though mountain tops were obscured we enjoyed good views of the valley.

Here are some shots:

Best regards to all...

This is a start.

Hiking is what keeps you young of mind and heart. When the going gets tough, the tough get going..............

Yes, thank you for your compliments everyone. It was indeed an interesting and picturesque hike with a couple of stretches for cardio workouts.

Doug, there was some high cloud which came through the tree tops as mist, and then the sun shone through, hence the capture in the photo.

It's a beauty.. Just wondering if you had to use a certain setting on your camera.

Hi Doug..

Just used simple Kodak digital camera and got the shot, no special settings used.
